I have a bit of a 'thing' for painting glass and I wanted to produce a 'sequel piece' to the one I painted for The Colourist front cover using different colours and patterns. I was immediately drawn to the Art Deco shape of the glass panels but wanted to give the cabinet a more contemporary feel. I used Florence, Scandinavian Pink, Provence and Greek Blue and Detail Brushes to build the design and Clear Wax to seal and protect it. 

My recent trip to Florida definitely contributed to the colour choice and in the staging and photography I wanted to pick this up further. I painted the staging wall in Pointe Silk and Piranesi Pink and the skirting board in Upstate Blue Satin Paint to pull my concept together. 

The inside is painted and has glass shelves.
